Do Not Drink … Gamble!
Monday, 5. October 2020
If you like to have a beverage from time to time, keep your cash at home if you set out to do your consuming in a casino. I am serious. Leave your handbag, your money belt, and leave all cash, charge cards and checkbooks back at the hotel. Pack only the cash you expect to use on refreshments, tips and whatever pocket change you anticipate to lose and leave the remainder behind.
Cynical? Not really. Just realistic. You may well have a success following a inebriated night out with your comrades and be blessed enough to hook a 25 minute toss at a on fire craps game. Keep that adventure because it’s as short-lived as it gets if you consistently drink and bet. These activities just don’t go well together.
Leaving your moolah out of the casino is a bit dramatic, but precautionary measures for excessive behavior is required. If you wager to profit, then do not drink and gamble. If you can afford to burn your $$$$ without a worry, then drink all the gratis booze you are able to handle, but don’t carry credit cards and chequebooks to throw into the mix of going after squanderings after your drunk as a skunk brain loses everything!
Let me to carry this a single step further. do not drink and then hop on the internet to gamble in your preferred casino either. I love to cocktail from the comfort of my condo, but since I’m hooked up through Neteller, Firepay and keep charge cards in close proximity, I can’t consume alcohol and wager.
How come? Although I do not drink to excess, once I drink alcohol, it is certainly sufficient to befuddle my judgment. I wager, so I do not consume alcohol when gambling. If you are more of a drinker, do not gamble when you do. The two mix up for a ferocious, and costly, cocktail.
