In addition, the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Council Bluffs is available 24 hours, with 38,500 square feet, 1,589 slots, 36 table games, and four restaurants. There are many other dominant Iowa gambling dens, which includes Harrah’s Council Bluffs, with 28,250 square feet, 1,212 slots, and 39 table games.
A smaller Iowa casino is the Diamond Jo, a water based gambling den in Dubuque, with 17,813 square feet, 776 slots, and 19 table games. The Catfish Bend water based, in Fort Madison, with 13,000 sq.ft., 535 one armed bandits, and 14 table games. Another Iowa paddle wheel boat casino, The Isle of Capri, is available all hours, with 24,939 sq.ft., 1,100 slots, and 24 table games. The Mississippi Belle II, a 10,577 sq.ft. water based gambling hall in Clinton, has 506 slots, 14 table games, live entertainment, and Thursday 21 tournaments.
Iowa casinos offer an excellent deal of tax revenue to the state of Iowa, which has allowed the funding of many state wide projects. Vacationers have gotten bigger at a rapid percentage along with the request for companies and a gain in jobs. Iowa casinos have been instrumental to the expansion of the market, and the affection for gaming in Iowa is across the board.
